The Revenge Affair là một bộ ảnh thời trang lấy cảm hứng từ câu chuyện có thật của Anne Bonny và John Rackham, cặp đôi hải tặc nổi tiếng đầu thế kỷ 18. Revenge là tên con tàu của John Rackham.

Anne Bonny từng kết hôn với một thủy thủ, tên James Bonny. Nhưng sau khi gặp John Rackham, cô bị hấp dẫn bởi sức hút và tinh thần tự do của anh. Cô bỏ chồng, và bất chấp bị cha mình từ bỏ, để theo đuổi cuộc sống phóng khoáng cùng John Rackham. Họ bước vào cuộc sống lênh đênh trên biển.

The Revenge Affair is a fashion editorial inspired by the true story of Anne Bonny and John Rackham, a famous pirate couple from the early 18th century. Revenge was the name of Rackham’s ship.
Anne Bonny was married to a sailor, James Bonny. After meeting John Rackham, she was drawn to his charm and his sense of freedom. She left her husband and went against her father to be with him. Together, they chose a life at sea.
Their relationship went beyond romance. It was a rebellion against social rules of the time. In the end, their crew was captured and sentenced to death. Rackham died. Bonny was spared because she was pregnant, but her fate after that remains unknown.
