TheArsenale showcases the future of mobility and innovation in Doha Design District

The luxury lifestyle brand TheArsenale recently opened their fourth destination in Doha. They are known for taking mobility and innovation to the next levels.

Patrice Meignan and Marcela Mayorga Meignan are not interested in creating a future that distances itself from continuous innovation. “Our company baseline is: we have seen the future,” says Patrice in an interview.

In his journey since launching The Arsenale in 2017 —and working alongside his wife Marcela since 2021—, the luxury lifestyle brand has stood itself as an international reference in the world of design and mobility.

The City of Dreams in Macau, the Design District of Miami and New York are among The Arsenale’s locations established as global hubs for mobility.

And in 2023, the latest addition to the family opened its doors at the Doha Design District, “a dynamic and innovative community where anyone interested in art and design can meet and mutually inspire one another,” as described by Shaikha Al Sulaiti, senior concept manager at Doha Design District.

TheArsenale’s latest destination and concept store is indeed an exchange between two consistent entities. “Our team has always been interested in developing projects in the Middle East. Qatar is not only famous for organising prestigious events but also for its huge participation in the cultural scene. They invest massively in architecture, design and culture to elevate their country and that is what has seduced us a lot. More precisely, the project of Doha Design District where we set up TheArsenale Doha is surely one of the most interesting retail zones in the world, combining luxury brands, high end galleries and innovative concepts, all under a sustainable vision. We could say that we found the perfect home for TheArsenale in Doha,” adds Patrice Meignan.

Art, design and innovation converge in their fourth flagship store, a space where the latest and most cutting-edge vehicles, from flying cars to electric bikes, from snowbikes to hoverboards, from submarines to drones, are displayed together with a sense of the global brand’s style and personality. Colour blocks, graphic elements, and most importantly, an aesthetic that captures the essence of movement, speed, and a brighter future create a visual journey that pretends to go beyond a shopping experience.

Besides offering exploration and interaction with the futuristic realm of transportation, the luxury lifestyle brand introduced their first activewear collection for women in Doha, designed by the brand’s co-founder, Marcela Mayorga Meignan.

As a Chilean fashion producer, entrepreneur, editor at REGIA magazine, and founder of her own fine jewellery label under the name of Nibiru Collection, it makes sense, then, that Marcela was at the forefront of this project. “The collection draws inspiration from the speed, innovation, and dynamic energy that characterise the fast lane of today’s world,” says Mayorga Meignan.

Inspired by powerful women that are fully committed to what they aim for, the pieces guarantee to make anyone feel like a true protagonist, and that includes from versatile uniforms suitable for various occasions, to evening clothes to casual outings, all made using high-quality, innovative materials that not only provide comfort but also reflect the brand’s commitment to sustainability and ethical fashion practices.

Moving forward and seeking to push the boundaries of the industry with a particular focus on sustainable and eco-friendly solutions, “The big project is for sure the creation of our own car company… it’s coming soon”, Patrice concludes.

TheArsenale has solidified its position as a global authority in the realms of design and mobility. The online platform, www.thearsenale.com, serves as a digital showcase for cutting-edge innovations and trends in mobility, emphasizing sustainable and eco-friendly solutions. Named after the renowned Arsenale di Venezia constructed in 1104, TheArsenale draws inspiration from the historical epicenter of innovation, housing avant-garde shipyards and armories. This maritime hub, traversed by legendary explorers like Marco Polo and Vasco de Gama, echoes with tales of ingenuity and exploration, providing a rich heritage that resonates in TheArsenale’s commitment to cutting-edge design and mobility.

The dynamic duo in mobility has achieved notable success by establishing concept stores not only in Macau at City of Dreams (COD) but also in vibrant locations such as Miami and New York.
