On a sunny day in London, fashion and fitness model Magda Swider posed for a photoshoot for Harper's Bazaar Vietnam while sharing her tips on being successful.

Magda Swider is an internationally published fashion model and Certified Personal Trainer. Currently based in London, she has worked in New York, London, Milan, and Paris with a global client base including Miu Miu, AfterShock, Head, etc.

How was her life course shaped?

We never know which surprise each new day may bring to us. Magda told us, “One day Bielinska, a world-class Polish photographer, saw me at the swimming pool. He told me about a casting organized by PMST, a model agency scouting for new faces. I attended their casting in Krakow, Poland.” She was only 15 at the time.

With her symmetrical face, natural big lips, thick eyebrows, strong eyes, and 179 cm height, Magda has a natural talent for modeling. “Magda is confident and strong. It has always been great to work with her. She radiates good vibes and creative ideas. It’s inspiring to work with her,” says photographer Marco Cuttin.

Magda’s first runway steps were during New York Fashion Week 2009. She was walking for FARAH ANGSANA, WILLIAM RAST, DOMENICO VACCA, ZAC POSEN, and many others. She recalled, “I was feeling nervous. It was extremely difficult and stressful because one of the dresses I was wearing was super long and the heels were like 15cm. I was trying my best not to show any stress and walk down the catwalk with pride and confidence.”

Now Magda is constantly spotted on the runways of London Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, and NY Fashion Week.

Her passion for wellbeing, health, and fitness

Magda Swider was a high jump athlete and also got a brown belt in Karate (Shotokan). “Karate is amazing for building your confidence, endurance, muscle tone, and flexibility. It teaches you self-defense. It is a high-aerobic activity recommended as daily training for everyone,” Swider shared her thoughts on Karate. The fitness model is offering bespoke individual and group fitness solutions to help her clients achieve their ultimate fitness and nutritional goals.

Being an active person, Swider likes to play tennis outdoors “to get some vitamin D.” She explained, “Tennis keeps me fit as it is an excellent full-body workout. I use tennis as a way to de-stress. It allows me to relax and enjoy time with my friends.”

Her passion for sports has landed her on several projects with brands such as Adidas, Fabletics, and Gymshark.

The photoshoot in London

Magda Swider revealed her beauty in this photoshoot for Harper’s Bazaar VN. The shoot took place in an old cemetery park in London. It was a lovely sunny day. Her hair was wavy and her skin was radiant. The dresses were comfortable – feminine, sexy, and classy. Magda Swider looked like a goddess in her outfits. Her beauty was simply enchanting.

Between the clothing changing sessions, we started talking about colors. Swider loved the purple dresses used for the shoot. She explained, “Purple is one of my favorite colors. I also like blue or turquoise. In my opinion, purple makes you feel creative. It is associated with mystery, creativity, royalty, and wealth. Lighter shades of purple can soothe or calm a troubled mind, hence why it is often used in beauty products.”

At one point, she laughed and told us, “Once I was asked, ‘What is the color of the mirror?’. I think it was the weirdest question I’ve ever received.”

How to be a successful model?

It’s not easy to gain recognition in the competitive world of modeling. Magda Swider gave her tips on being a successful model. “Modeling is a job for determinate, persistent, and consistent people. Models tend to be predominantly artistic individuals. They are creative and original and work well in a setting that allows for self-expression. They also tend to be enterprising, which means that they are natural leaders who thrive at influencing and persuading others.”

For Magda Swider, “To achieve success, it is crucial to set a specific goal and then consistently pursue it.” At the end of our conversation, she shared with us her favorite quote from John Wooden, “Success is a peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming.’’
