HARPER’S BAZAAR: Your collaboration with Key-Key on Tengo un Plan has been a massive hit. How did this collaboration come about, and what was it like working with him?

OZUNA: The collaboration with Key-Key came about in a very beautiful, very organic way. We both shared a similar vision towards music and decided to work together. Working with Key-Key was an incredible experience; he has an admirable energy and creativity that perfectly complemented what we wanted to convey with Tengo un Plan, which is a perfect tropical vibe for the summer.

HARPER’S BAZAAR: Tengo un Plan has a captivating vibe. Could you share the inspiration behind the song and what message you hope listeners take away from it?

OZUNA: Tengo un Plan is a song of the summer. It’s one of my favorite songs and has a very special vibe that comes from the union of rhythms and cultures from Honduras and Puerto Rico. It goes perfectly with the summer, with the vibe of the sun, the beach, the tropical feel as we say in Puerto Rico. What I wanted with the song was to maintain the good vibe.

HARPER’S BAZAAR: We’ve seen hints that you and French Montana are working on something together. Can you give us any insights into this collaboration and what fans can expect?

OZUNA: It could be. French Montana and I have a very good relationship and it’s always a pleasure to work with him. Without revealing too much, if it happens, people can expect a different and fresh mix of rhythms and lyrics that they will surely love.

HARPER’S BAZAAR: Fans often refer to you affectionately as “Oso” or “Ozito”. Could you tell us where this nickname came from and what it means to you?

OZUNA: El Oso was born in a very organic way. It was a stuffed animal that my daughter gave me at a time when I was experiencing new things in my career, new rhythms, and collaborating with other genres. I decided to use the Bear as part of my logo without really imagining that the public would embrace it as a distinctive feature of Ozuna. It’s an eye-catching figure that people of different ages can relate to and play with according to the concept I am working on at the moment. El Oso is now part of my identity as an artist.

HARPER’S BAZAAR: Your fashion sense seems to evolve beautifully with each appearance, especially during the latest fashion weeks. What inspires your style, and how do you approach curating your outfits for events?

OZUNA: My style is inspired by music, art, and urban culture. I like to experiment and express my identity through fashion. I work with an amazing team of stylists who help me create looks that are unique and reflect my personality and mood at each event. I always like to stay up-to-date and look and feel comfortable with what I wear.

HARPER’S BAZAAR: Who are some of your biggest musical influences, and how have they shaped your sound and artistic direction?

OZUNA: I am a lover of music in general, not just urban. I come from Puerto Rico and in musical culture, we are very varied, which is something I love about my country. I love salsa, I could mention Héctor Lavoe, Frankie Ruiz; in urban music, Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Vico C, among many others. I think they have all been pioneers in their genres and have inspired me to innovate and maintain authenticity in my music. Their legacy motivates me to keep evolving and to bring something new to the industry.

HARPER’S BAZAAR: What can your fans look forward to in the coming months? Are there any upcoming projects or collaborations that you’re particularly excited about?

OZUNA: The coming months will be full of surprises. I’m always working on making new music, which is what I enjoy the most, and there are several collaborations that will surprise everyone. And as always, I am excited to soon share everything we’ve been preparing and grateful for the constant support of my fans.
