HARPER’S BAZAAR: What fashion trends are you most looking forward to for the spring?
DANIA RAMIREZ: I am really looking forward to the lacework I’ve seen on the runway for the 2024 Spring season. And being an Island girl, I love the short shorts and mini skirts trend; I would pair that with some fabulous brown linen pieces.
HARPER’S BAZAAR: What is your go-to fashion accessory?
DANIA RAMIREZ: A love diamond bangles or rings by Lorraine Swartz whose pieces are magical! That is a must to dress up any low-key look but always glamours on a red carpet.
HARPER’S BAZAAR: Who are your favourite fashion designers?
DANIA RAMIREZ: I have an affinity toward my Haitian sister Jovana Louis because of her ability to incorporate new age with a love for couture. As far as the New York fashionista in me, Ronny Kobo is a must! And can’t end without mentioning some classics like Hubert De Givenchy and my Dominican legend Oscar de la Renta.
HARPER’S BAZAAR: From all the events you have attended, what was your favourite red carpet look?
DANIA RAMIREZ: My absolute favourite was the X-Men the Last Stand premiere at Cannes. I wore a Giorgio Armani Prive dress. It was a Sexy Timeless silhouette, a modern abstract design /pattern on a fun material. It’s very heavy but totally worth it!
HARPER’S BAZAAR: How would you describe your day-to-day style?
DANIA RAMIREZ: I believe I am pretty versatile. My closet matches the artist that I am and the many sides of my character. I am grounded and natural on my days off— which is expressed in the more casual fitted, relaxed silhouettes, breathable fabrics, and bohemian looks but unafraid to experiment or be sexy on and off the red carpet. I love a body-hugging dress but I’ll sport a baggy T-shirt and harem pants. I am a bold and beautiful female who is proud of my body.
HARPER’S BAZAAR: What do you do to stay in shape?
DANIA RAMIREZ: I have fallen in love with pilates and yoga. I used to do weights but the older I get I find pilates to be more beneficial and injury conscious. I also love a good hike or bike ride if I want to just be in nature and stay active.
HARPER’S BAZAAR: What is your favourite city to shop in and why?
DANIA RAMIREZ: I am and probably will forever be a NYC shopper! There is a lot of everything and anything you could want or feel like.
HARPER’S BAZAAR: What are you most excited about working on next?
DANIA RAMIREZ: I’ve always loved making music and rapping in Spanish came naturally to me. There is something really special about elevating my people through sound.
