Designer Cristina Nitopi’s latest collection comes into focus through a striking New York editorial starring Isabeli Fontana, photographed by celebrity photographer Ben Sejourne, with hair and makeup by celebrity artist Kamilla Rovshanbekova. The collection is rooted in contrast, pairing softness with precision and romance with a sharper, more contemporary point of view.

Silk, lace and fluid draping shape the story, but it is Nitopi’s attention to proportion that gives the collection its identity. A champagne silk mini dress is cut close to the body before falling into a long, dramatic panel, creating a silhouette that feels both refined and unexpected. Ivory lace appears in a two-piece look with an asymmetric cropped top and fitted skirt, while dusty rose is used across several silhouettes that play with exposed shoulders, extended hems and soft movement.

Rather than treating lace as something traditionally delicate, Nitopi gives it a more modern character. The fabric is shaped into clean, confident silhouettes, from fitted columns to cropped tops and sculpted minis. A vivid cobalt lace top introduces a stronger burst of color, while deeper shades of rose and bordeaux give the collection a richer, more sensual mood. Throughout, the clothes feel feminine without becoming overly romantic and dramatic without losing their elegance.

That balance is particularly clear on Fontana. Her presence brings an ease to the collection, allowing each look to feel strong without appearing rigid. The clothes move with her, whether through the sweep of silk, the transparency of lace or the elongated panels that trail from otherwise minimal silhouettes. Sejourne’s photography keeps the focus on the clothing itself, capturing the texture, movement and shape of each piece without distracting from the overall mood of the collection.

Rovshanbekova’s beauty direction follows the same approach. Hair and makeup remain polished and sophisticated, complementing the clothing rather than competing with it. The result is a visual story that feels considered from beginning to end, with each element working together to create a sense of modern glamour.

Designer Cristina Nitopi’s collection is less about dressing for a specific occasion and more about how a woman wants to feel when she enters a room. There is confidence in the asymmetry, softness in the draping and a sense of control in the way each silhouette is shaped. The pieces are designed to be noticed, but they do not rely on excess to make an impression.

What emerges is a collection that gives romance a cleaner, more contemporary edge. Silk is allowed to move, lace is given a stronger point of view, and classic evening wear codes are reworked through proportion and line. In Cristina Nitopi’s world, femininity is not defined by one look or one mood. It can be soft, bold, restrained and sensual all at once.

Shot in New York, the editorial brings together Cristina Nitopi’s distinct design language with the presence of Isabeli Fontana, the lens of Ben Sejourne and the beauty direction of Kamilla Rovshanbekova, resulting in a collection that feels elegant, modern and confidently its own.
