Oxana Yavorskaya on Precision, Trust, and Natural Beauty

Behind every refined result is years of discipline, study, and care – something Oxana Yavorskaya understands deeply. A cosmetologist with a pharmaceutical foundation and more than two decades of experience, she now lives and works in Zurich, where her private practice reflects a philosophy of precision, ethics, and respect for individuality.

Her aesthetic style is restrained, intellectual, and thoughtfully curated. We spoke with Oxana about her profession, intuition, and the inner culture of beauty.

Harper’s Bazaar (HBZVN): Oxana, you have more than 20 years of experience and an international background. What does it mean for you to be a cosmetologist today?

OXANA YAVORSKAYA: For me, being a cosmetologist is, first and foremost, a love for the work itself and for the process. I truly enjoy what I do and immerse myself in it completely — in a way, it has become my form of meditation. But beyond passion, professionalism and continuous education are essential to me. Aesthetics is constantly evolving, and a specialist must evolve alongside it. I value seeing not only visible changes in the skin, but also shifts in a woman’s overall state — her confidence, energy, and relationship with herself. When a person’s life begins to change for the better, that is the greatest value of my work.

HBZVN: You are often one step ahead in your field. What is your secret?

OXANA YAVORSKAYA: I believe it comes down to observation and professional intuition developed over many years.

I regularly attend international conferences and aesthetic exhibitions in different countries – the United States, France, Italy. It is important for me to see how trends evolve and where cosmetology is heading. Over time, an intuitive understanding develops of which technologies truly have a future and which will remain temporary.

HBZVN: Your approach is often described as combined. What does this mean in practice?

OXANA YAVORSKAYA: It means respecting the structure of the skin. I work simultaneously with the surface and the deeper layers: gentle epidermal renewal combined with stimulation of dermal processes. Modern peels, active ingredients, regenerative work – all of this functions not separately, but as a single, cohesive system. It is important to me that the result looks natural, while the skin becomes healthier and more youthful day by day.

HBZVN: You are among the first to introduce new technologies. How do you choose what to work with?

OXANA YAVORSKAYA: Through observation and experience. I test, analyse, and observe results over time. But not everything new automatically becomes part of my practice. I select only what truly aligns with my professional philosophy and delivers long-term results. This is a matter of responsibility toward my clients.

HBZVN: What does working in aesthetics mean to you personally?

OXANA YAVORSKAYA: It is a very intimate profession. Every day, you work with trust. I aim to ensure that after meeting with me, a woman feels not only visible changes, but also an inner sense of confidence.

HBZVN: And finally, what would you like to wish our readers?

OXANA YAVORSKAYA: I wish every woman to feel beautiful and loved. It always begins with self-care: in thoughts, actions, and the way we treat our bodies and inner state. These small, conscious daily choices inevitably lead to the most beautiful and lasting results.
