She is not just a beauty queen. Dr. Mahra is the first Emirati stem cell doctor, a plastic surgeon, and the first Emirati woman to win an international beauty pageant. As Miss Planet International Dubai 2024, she continues to use her voice and platform to create positive change.
More than a titleholder, Dr. Mahra is a UN Goodwill Ambassador, a humanitarian who has performed cleft surgeries for children in need, and a trailblazer redefining beauty through science and compassion. Her journey reflects the values of the modern Emirati woman: educated, confident, proud of her culture, and committed to creating global impact.
“I want to show the world that Arab women are not only beautiful. We are powerful, intelligent, and visionary,” she says. “To be featured so prominently in Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam is truly a dream realized, and so much more. It’s a message to every young girl who dares to rise.”
Dr. Mahra Lutfi has shared with us that she is planning to compete at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand. With her message of empowerment and grace, she is already touching hearts, especially in Southeast Asia, where pageants are a celebration of ambition and strength.
