In this exclusive interview, Alla shares her unique journey, the synergy between wellness and fashion, as well as her secrets to maintaining youth and radiance. Dive into the world of Alla Naumova and discover how she empowers people to transform their lives with grace and confidence.

Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam (HBZ): Why are you called the Wellness Muse? How did it all start?

ALLA NAUMOVA: In my environment, there were always many people of arts, starting from an early age. My father is an artist, and he taught me to see and appeal to the most beautiful features in people. I see a person as a piece of art that can be endlessly improved. And I’m not just talking about external beauty; I’m talking about inner beauty: intellect, spirit, and creative potential.

I have always enjoyed inspiring and guiding people to become the best version of themselves. That’s how the name “Muse” stuck to me, which later evolved into the full-fledged project “Your Wellness Muse.”

HBZ: How do you think wellness influences the fashion industry and vice versa? How are these two spheres interrelated?

ALLA NAUMOVA: I believe that these two spheres are closely intertwined, supplementing and enhancing each other. Fashion, in my opinion, frames a person, highlighting their uniqueness and beauty. It’s like a precious stone that needs a proper framing. I like a strong trend in modern fashion towards naturalness wherewe can see a variety of age, shape and beauty on catwalks and in magazines. This shows that fashion interacts very closely with wellness.

HBZ: You used to be regularly featured in the most stylish looks while fashion weeks. What is your relationship with fashion now?

ALLA NAUMOVA: I have always enjoyed experimenting with looks and style. During that period, fashion was an object of art and study for me. Over the past years my relationship with fashion has become more mature and thoughtful. Now I prefer a more refined style where I am the main art object, and the clothes aim to highlight this.

You can easily tell the story of your lifethrough your style and appearance. It’s a great opportunity to convey your core values and priorities at first sight. Now Iprefer vintage items reflecting a personal history and timeless elegant classics. Besides, my wardrobe includes many unique couture pieces made especially for me by designer friends, which exist in a single copy.

HBZ: If you had to choose only one designer for your wardrobe, who would it be and why?

ALLA NAUMOVA: Perhaps, the designer who resonates with my inner world in an utmost way is Yves Saint Laurent. I love the DNA of this brand as it is classy yet very free-spirited. This style is definitely designed for a bold, active and self-confident woman. It highlights personal charisma without drawing attention away. This is exactly the case when it’s a person who is wearing clothes but not vice versa.

HBZ: What does “beauty” mean to you?

ALLA NAUMOVA: I primarily assume beauty as the health balance in all its aspects: physical, mental and spiritual. It’s associated with purity. Perhaps, in some sense, even on the edge of asceticism. A beautiful person is confident, knows the right priorities, and understands the word “no.” “No” to food or destructive habits or relationships that they might love but do not get any positive results in return. Beauty means choosing and loving yourself.

HBZ: How do you manage to remain fit and maintain youth and beauty for a long time?

ALLA NAUMOVA: Of course, genetics play a big role. We cannot escape our nature, but the good news is that 80% of youth and beauty depends on the lifestyle one chooses. We can’t avoid aging but we can control its pace through an active lifestyle, clean eating and minimizing stress or harmful habits.

HBZ: What does a perfect day for the Wellness Muse look like?

ALLA NAUMOVA: The key motif of my life and what I advocate for is that for harmony and success, a person needs five victories a day. Victory for the body: good sleep, proper nutrition, physical activity.

Victory in the social environment: communication that motivates and inspires. Mindset victory: words of self-approval, journaling and affirmations.

Victory in intellect: developing and learning new things in your field every day. Victory over the spirit: meditation, ascetic practices and praying.

This is the foundation of my system, the book and the app for mobile phone to be launched in the near future. This is what fills the day with meaning, joy, and energy. Each new day of the Wellness Muse may be different from the previous one, but it will definitely be filled with the power of the Five Victories and Five Transformations.

HBZ: Your book “Five Transformations” became a bestseller. What inspired you to create it? What are your plans for the future?

ALLA NAUMOVA: I wanted to create an ecosystem, a step-by-step plan for people who want to improve their lives but don’t know how to do this. The book covers all the most important aspects: body, social circle, mindset, focus, and spiritual development.

I made the book in the format of a journal because it’s not enough to know “how”; it’s important to start using the new tools right away. This is what yields results and motivates you to go on. In the near future I plan to launch an app that will be able to track key indicators of life balance. It should become an important assistant for people who want to maintain a harmonious balance in their daily routine.
