Nabila de Raco, an accomplished Italian talent, has made her mark not only as a model gracing fashion magazine pages but also as an expert in real estate. Balancing the demands of both industries, she shares her insights on maintaining equilibrium, her commitment to fitness, and the qualities that drive her success.
HBZVN: Nabila, you are an Italian beauty living and working in America. In addition to being a successful model, you are also a real estate expert. What methods help you maintain balance in a busy schedule? What morning rituals help you start the day with energy and maintain productivity? What workouts and activities have become indispensable for you each day?
NABILA DE RACO: Maintaining a work-play balance has become a priority for me over the years. I find that sticking to a regular schedule that combines work with health-enhancing activities brings me freedom and keeps me on track. Starting my day at the same time with a consistent routine gives me a boost that lasts all day. I kick off with coffee, check emails, have a light, healthy snack, and follow up with some exercise. Once I’ve done that, I’m ready to tackle the day! Recently, I’ve started strength training, and I meet with my personal trainer at least three times a week—I’ve already noticed a difference! I’m also a Pilates enthusiast, and I enjoy yoga and long walks throughout New York City.
HBZVN: You mentioned that you prefer daytime activities to nighttime ones, and that you have recently begun to learn to live more slowly. How exactly has your lifestyle changed, and what was the starting point for the change?
NABILA DE RACO: Yes, I consider myself a “day-life” person more than a “nightlife” person. Like most New Yorkers, I love exploring new restaurants and making the most of everything the city has to offer. However, as I became more invested in fitness and wellness, I found that filling my days with meaningful, healthy pursuits became more rewarding. Now, my routine starts early and winds down early too, with skincare, massages, cold plunges, and maybe a glass of herbal tea.
HBZVN: Your home in Manhattan probably has a special atmosphere. How does it inspire you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?
NABILA DE RACO: I’m fortunate to live in a building with excellent amenities—a top-notch gym, sauna, steam room, and indoor and outdoor pools. It would be a crime not to take advantage of it! My apartment also offers stunning skyline views and is wonderfully quiet—a perfect escape from the hustle of the city.
HBZVN: What is the importance of working with a personal trainer for you, and how has it affected your physical and mental habits?
NABILA DE RACO: Having a trainer has not only sharpened my attention to the mechanics of exercise but has deepened my understanding of the mind-body connection. I’m much more in tune with what I’m feeling and how to address it, both in and out of the gym.
HBZVN: Can you name the three most valuable qualities that support you in life and career?
NABILA DE RACO: Integrity: To truly achieve your goals and be successful on your own terms, integrity is essential. Resilience and self-awareness are also invaluable qualities that support me every day.
